THE PERSON

I am a proud Iowa native with a deep love for both the tranquility of country life and the excitement of city lights. I reside on a beautiful acreage just outside the Des Moines Metro area with my husband and three four-legged Frenchie wonders, Frank, Winston, and Junior. Every season on the farm is beautiful, but the summer season, hands down, is my favorite. The summer days are spent cultivating hay and nurturing a vast garden bursting with vegetables and flowers. The outdoors is truly my sanctuary, where I relish in the long, sunlit days, appreciating the ever-changing landscape and engaging in all things “farm” (from the dirt, to the equipment, to the hard work in general.) I am known for my homemade jam and zesty pickles – there is great satisfaction that comes from turning something you have grown into something people can enjoy.

When it comes to the city, the action is where I can be found! I enjoy all of the events, from sporting to arts and music to celebrating community and culture. I thrive on experience. With many of my own favorite places in such a great city to spend time and frequent, I also love to explore and find new places I have never been. City and country – the best of both worlds!
